This was my second “fabric as object” painting, the first done with a figure shape. The painting was done for a Western Avenue Studios fourth floor show we called, “The Blue Show.” Developing this “figurative” still life took a bit of ingenuity and a lot of plastic wrap, tape, and batting. I’m sure more than a few passers-by did a double take walking by my open door where the half-sized fabric still life lay while I was working on this painting! Click on the image for a larger version.
